Group & Private Charter Boat Trips, River Bann

In 2020, during the covid pandemic, we identified a business opportunity and acquired the classic harbour launch. Our mission was two-fold, firstly to preserve the maritime heritage of this classic vessel and secondly, to create a comfortable and stylish boat that allows us to create memorable visitor experiences exploring the beautiful River Bann.

M.V. Kingfisher, was built in 1947 by the world-renowned Harland and Wolff shipbuilders in the historic Belfast Shipyard (of Titanic fame). The harbour launch was constructed of oak and teak by the skilful craftsmen and apprentices and was built to last – it has definitely stood the test of time and tides.

During the lockdowns (2020-2021) we channelled our energy into restoring and refurbishing the vessel from commercial fishing vessel to stylish passenger boat. Endless hours were spent restoring the boat to its former glory, from stripping away years of paint to reveal original teak and oak timbers, and solid mahogany benches that complement its traditional design.

We are committed to providing a memorable experience and we adhere to the highest health and safety standards. The vessel is Marine and Coastguard Agency (MCA) category 4, compliant with the latest regulations and is licenced for 12 passengers and 2 crew
